United Daughters of the Confederacy Monument

Directions: I-75 Exit 25. Proceed toward Cleveland on TN 60. Travel a short distance and turn left on 25th Street. Travel 1.6 miles and turn right on N Lee Hwy/N Ocoee St. Monument is across from Lee University.

Located where Lee Highway splits at the north entrance to downtown Cleveland, this Civil War memorial was funded by the Jefferson Davis Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) in 1910. Throughout the South, UDC chapters led efforts to memorialize the Confederacy in public monuments, museums, and programs.
