U.S. Highway 41,
located at Kelly’s Ferry Church of God and Cemetery

Directions: I-24 Exit 174. Follow Cummings Hwy 41-N 2.8 miles. Site is on the right. Park at the top of the gravel road.

This property is significant for its roles in the Trail of Tears in 1838 and in the battles for Chattanooga in the fall of 1863. The road was a major supply route for federal troops during the Confederate siege of Chattanooga. A portion of the road, from behind the church to the adjacent cemetery, is open to the public. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
