Directions: From Chattanooga, take 27-N to TN 111-N. Travel 17 miles to Hwy 127/William Taft Hwy. Travel approximately 18.5 miles. Turn right on Cumberland Ave.

Built c. 1870, this church was originally an African American schoolhouse known as the Lincoln School, and was supported by the Freedmen’s Bureau. Congregations also used the building as a church on Sundays. By 1900, the building was primarily a Sunday meeting place for the Pikeville Chapel AME Zion Church, as other congregations either disbanded or built their own buildings. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
