At Pickett's Trout Ranch you and your kids will catch trout! At Pickett's we have all the gear you need! At Pickett's you pay only for what you catch, not a license or permit.
Enjoy a day of relaxing, easy fishing and sight seeing at one of the Cumberland Plateau's undiscovered natural gems. Catch big, beautiful, and tasty Rainbow Trout from our fishing lake or simply relax and let us dip some out for you.
Pickett's Trout Ranch is nestled at the base of Cookston Cove, an ancient place which is home to a mountain spring, fed over many miles of the Cumberland Plateau. Cool breezes from underground create a comfortable fishing environment. Pickett's Trout Ranch originally opened in 1965 operated until 1981. We've since rebuilt, re-engineered and rebeautified! Only minutes away from Fall Creek Falls State Park, Savage Gulf State Park, Prentice Cooper Wildlife Management Area and many other local attractions, there is planty to do and see.
Pickett's is now also the home of Waterhouse Gallery, featuring the works of prominent local artists. Paintings, sculptures, wood carvings and more can be viewed and purchased at pickett's. We also have country antiques for sale. Camping will soon be available.
Pickett's Trout Ranch can also host your event or gathering. We have a large cooking pit or small grills, picnic tables and facilities perfect for family reunions, church groups, work parties or whatever!
Hours: 8:30am-Dark Sat-Sun, Season begins in the Spring and ends around Thanksgiving (Longer hours in the summer)
