Festivals in Southeast Tennessee

A trip to Southeast Tennessee is not complete without venturing into Southern culture by attending one of the regions festivals.  All festivals are a day of family-oriented fun offering a wide array of Southern entertainment.  Exciting events and festivals draw in larger crowds year after year, and country and county fairs are just the beginning.

The Cornbread festival in South Pittsburg brings in people from all across the country.  Live musical entertainment fills the air while the streets of the expanding city are turned into an open aired shopping mall.  The Southern Cuisine festival honors cornbread cooked in an iron cast grill.

Another exciting festival found in the Southeast area is MOOFest.  MOOFest is celebrated in Athens, which is located half way between Chattanooga and Knoxville.  The festival is a fun-filled day exploring the history of the area.  Yummy treats such as homemade ice cream is served.

Enjoy browsing through arts and crafts at many of our annual festivals such as Ketner's Mill Festival or the Mid East Tennessee Regional Fair. Whatever any newcomer to Southeast Tennessee is looking for, they are sure to find good fun and great Southern hospitality at one of the many festivals found all over the region.
