Farms & Markets

A Farmer’s Market offers you fresh, locally grown produce (some of which is organic) without going through a middle man. Green beans, apples, squash, pumpkins, and peppers are only a few of the wide variety of goods sold at these locations. Some markets happen once a week, while others are open every day.

Although individual hours depend, markets usually run from early spring to late fall. Of course, Jewell Farms offers their fall décor all season. They feature fall decorations, corn stalks, hayrides and a wide assortment of pumpkins.

While visiting some Farmer’s Markets you’ll not only find the freshest harvest, you’ll find entertainment as well. Try visiting the Chattanooga Market. This event happens weekly in downtown Chattanooga with vendors, live music, an art lab and local chefs who provide cooking demonstrations.

Still want the “farm atmosphere” while picking your produce? Visit Schultz Farm Foods where you can schedule educational group tours and try one of their 12 varieties of apples.
