SVI is a nonprofit educational organization on 400 acres of forested mountain land in the Sequatchie Valley. SVI provides pre-arranged tours and workshops in sustainable living. Tours include guided walks, the organic permaculture gardens and orchards, and visits to solar electric handcrafted green architecture homes and buildings. Crafts produced by the staff are sold at the art gallery. SVI offers workshops in ecological and organic agriculture and natural building. Food for Life and Sustainable Natural Building Workshops are held annually.

Directions: From I-24, take Exit 155. Route 28N for 18 miles to Cartwright Loop. Turn left to Box 304 at 0.7 miles. Parking area on right by creek. Call for directions from other locations.
