Hiking in the South Cumberland State Recreational Park
You can take home special memories hiking in this area.

South Cumberland is a hikers paradise with a selection of trails to suit almost any interest and physical capabilities.  All trails are marked with directions and are easy to follow.  There are numerous trails for day trips and loop trails that will bring you back to where you started.

Spectacular Bluff overviews can be seen in Savage Gulf, Collins Gulf, at Foster Falls, on the Fiery Gizzard, and along the Stone Door hiking trail.

When viewing bluffs it is recommended you follow the climbers rule:  6 feet from the edge you can stand 3 feet from the edge you should be on your hands and knees, closer than that you should be on your belly.

Hiking can be a great time to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenic beauty of nature with family and friends.
