Before or after enjoying the beautiful city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, stop by The Mt. Vernon Restaurant to savor our traditional southern food. We are currently operated by the granddaughter of the original owner, Gus Tombras, who opened the doors to feed hungry patrons over 50 years ago! We are located on Broad Street at the foot of historic Lookout Mountain. Enjoy some of our old time favorites such as southern fried chicken, slow roasted turkey and dressing, fresh fried corn or the delicious fried green tomatoes. Our newest menu items are healthy selections, all prepared with olive oil and low in fat, but the most important...they’re yummy! Don't get too full to indulge in our Amaretto Cream Pie. It's a must!
