See what's outta sight at the world's largest freshwater aquarium. Just below the tranquil surface of familiar lakes, the foamy currents of swift rivers the mysterious mists of steamy swamps, lie secret worlds that are as hard to see as they are to fathom. Until now. Join us for a revealing odyssey through the natural habitats of more than 9,000 creatures that swim, fly and crawl. It's the Tennessee Aquarium. And it's outta sight! The aquarium experience is a self-guided tour that takes up to two hours.  

Hours: Visitors may enter the Aquarium anytime from 10am-6pm ET (everyday except Thanksgiving and Christmas)

  • Your Aquarium experience, which will take at least two hours, will include admission to two buildings: River Journey and Ocean Journey. Your tickets are good all day, so feel free to catch a bite or sneak a peek at an IMAX 3D film between buildings. You can purchase combo Aquarium/IMAX ticket at a discount.
  • Behind the Scenes Tours that include both buildings are available Monday - Friday.

Cost: $19.95 Adults/ $10.50 Children (ages 3-12)
Many other money saving combos available (partners with IMAX Theater and Creative Discovery Museum).

 Directions: Travel I-24 to downtown Chattanooga . U.S. Highway 27 North. Take exit 1C. Right on 4th Street. Left on Broad Street (second stoplight). Go two blocks and you’ll see the Aquarium. Paid parking and free shuttle available.
