. Once fully completed, The Miner's Rest will offer four guest rooms, each with a private bath and climate control. Currently two rooms are available for overnight accommodations. The Red Towne Guest Cottage is also available. Each night's stay at The Miner's Rest includes a breakfast of regional specialties.
The Miner's Rest:
The Miner's Rest Bed & Breakfast is located in the former Douglas Coal & Coke Company Clubhouse. Almost 3000 square feet, the clubhouse was completed in November 1900 and has stood intact since that time with very little change. Many original woodwork features remain. The Clubhouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Regular season rates range from $100 to $150 per night.
Red Towne Guest Cottage:
Only a quick stoll away from The Miner's Rest, the Red Towne Guest Cottage adds expanded possibilities for your stay in Dunlap. The Guest Cottage sleeps up to six people and features two bedrooms, a shared bath, living room, fully functional kitchen, and sun room. Your opportunity to relax on the front porch swing awaits you. The regular season rate is $90 per night.
