The Walnut Street Bridge continues to be one of Chattanooga ’s most visited attractions, and provides a gathering place for residents and visitors to enjoy events, entertainment and recreation. It serves as the pedestrian link between downtown Chattanooga and the now thriving Northshore District. The 1/2-mile span is the longest pedestrian bridge in the world and very popular among local residents. Providing spectacular views of Coolidge Park , the Tennessee Aquarium and the Riverfront, the bridge is available for weddings and special events.
