The Walnut Street Bridge continues to be one of Chattanooga’s most visited attractions, and provides a gathering place for residents and visitors to enjoy events, entertainment and recreation. It serves as the pedestrian link between downtown Chattanooga and the now thriving Northshore District. The 1/2-mile span was once the longest pedestrian bridge in the world and is very popular among local residents. Providing spectacular views of Coolidge Park, the Tennessee Aquarium and the Riverfront, the bridge is available for weddings and special events.
