Named and organized in honor of 101 year old local fiddler, Bob Douglas, each year Audubon Acres hosts the Fiddle Fest. Special Guests in prior years included: old-time county favorite Norman Blake; Chattanooga fiddler Fletcher Bright; songwriter/performer Dalton Roberts: and Michael DeFousch and Bobby Fulcher, extraordinary fiddler and old time banjo picker.
The festival features exhibits, crafts, food, and tours of the extensive grounds of Audubon Acres, and the log cabin home of its first settlers. Those with an interest in the native plants of the region, and the original food crops of the Cherokee, will appreciate the organic garden with Cherokee corn, squash, and beans, as well as medicinal plants and herbs. The whole family will enjoy this event.
