The County Fair takes place on a beautiful, water-rimmed peninsula jutting into the Tennessee River, Chester Frost Park, in North Chattanooga. It features music of every variety, and has three stages, large, medium, and small, for the local musical talent.
The fair, scheduled for the last weekend in September, kicks off the harvest season with competitions in garden produce, a variety of animals and animal husbandry, 4-H exhibits, and handcrafts.
Children's activities include face-painting, hayrides, and an interactive Wild West Show with costumed actors.
Suitable for large groups.
Parking is accessed by a shuttle, for which there is a charge.
The performances are outdoors with seating available.
Concessions of fast foods and fair treats available.
Directions: To get to the shuttle parking, take I-75, connecting to Highway 153 North to Northgate Mall. The shuttle takes passengers from the Mall parking lot to the Fair. For disabled access, please call ahead.
